The TAUV Team, which continues its work within our university's Robotics Club, has achieved another significant success. Our team, participating in the TEKNOFEST 2025 Unmanned Underwater Systems Advanced Category Competition, was awarded the "Most Original Design Award."

Our Rector, Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, met with students joining our university this year during the registration process. Our Rector visited the Student Affairs Office and personally completed the initial registration process for our students.

Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Verşan Kök visited our University Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız in his office on July 23, 2025. Our General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay and Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş and Prof. Dr. Hamide Özden Özkaya-Ferendeci also accompanied the visit. During the visit, views were exchanged on potential collaborations and joint projects between the two universities.
Open Days at our University Started with the Participation of Our Rector
Open Days at our University began on July 22, 2025, with the participation of our Rector, Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, and our General Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay. During the "Getting to Know TGU" session held on the first day of the event, our Rector and General Coordinator answered questions from prospective students and their families, sharing comprehensive information about our University's educational model, international collaborations, campus life, and academic opportunities. Our Rector was accompanied by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş, Prof. Dr. Hamide Özden Özkaya-Ferendeci, and our General Secretary Özgür Ali Şirin. Our Rector and General Coordinator also visited the "Getting to Know the Departments" sessions organized by our academics and informed prospective students and their families about the departments.

THE Impact Rankings 2025 Success from Our University
According to the results of the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, which evaluates the contributions of higher education institutions to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), our university was included in the rankings for the first time this year. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, who evaluated the results, said, “We managed to enter the list in a ranking process that we applied for the first time. This is a very important success for us. I congratulate everyone who contributed.”
The Final of the Entrepreneurship Workshop was Held with the Participation of Our Rector
In the last session of the Digitalpark Teknokent Entrepreneurship Workshop organized in cooperation with our university and led by Dr. Suat Genç, participants presented their ideas within the scope of Demo Day. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız, General Coordinator Prof. Dr. Ferit Küçükay and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş, Digitalpark Teknokent General Manager Prof. Dr. Tahsin Engin and Deputy General Manager Tolga Bildirici attended the program and certificates were presented to successful entrepreneurs.
A Cup Ceremony was Held for Our Athletes Who Achieved Success in Sports Competitions
A cup ceremony was held on June 4, 2025 for our athletes who have been successful in various sports events organized and participated in recently at our university. Our athletes who have been successful in various branches and categories received their medals and cups from our Rector Prof. Dr. Cemal Yıldız and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Aysel Uzuntaş. At the ceremony, our Rector congratulated our athletes for their outstanding performance and wished them continued success in their future sports activities.

The first of the Science Café event series, which was implemented by the Science Communication Office established within the Communication Coordination Office of our University, was organized at Yücel Çelikbilek Cultural Center on May 30, 2025.
